Welcome!
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. I received my PhD in Public Policy and Management at the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy. I received an MPP from USC in 2016, and a dual BA in Economics and Japanese from University of California: Davis in 2011. Between my undergraduate and graduate programs I lived in the Osaka/Kobe region of Japan for two years teaching English.
My research interests predominantly revolve around climate change and its intersection with pre-existing externalities such as local pollution, as well as second-best policy design in these contexts. My work thus far has focused on the economic, health, and distributional impacts of climate change and climate change policy, including mitigation, adaptation, and resilience efforts. My current work is focused on social, racial, and economic disparities in energy access and associated pollution.
